Share Your Story with The Coastal Rag

At The Coastal Rag, we believe in keeping it local—because no one tells our stories better than the people living them. Whether you're hosting an event, celebrating a milestone, or simply have something meaningful to share, you can be a contributor. How awesome is that? Writing for your community, with your community—that’s collaboration at its finest.

 

There are two easy ways to get involved:

• Write your own article: Include a heading and send it to editor@thecoastalrag.com.au. If your piece is time-sensitive, please get in touch early to secure space (¼ to full page) and ensure it reaches readers on time.

 

• Use our submission template: Fill in as much detail as possible, and our team will craft an article on your behalf using the information you provide.

Anyone who lives, works, or visits the Discovery Coast region is welcome to contribute. We simply ask that submissions are factual, unbiased, and signed with your name.

Sharing through the paper is a powerful way to connect, promote your group or business, and show that you value the reach and impact of local storytelling. Best of all—article submissions are free. Please note: logos or graphics attached to articles will incur an advertising fee (see our advertising guide for details).

Finalised articles are due by noon on the Monday prior to publication. If you'd like to review edits, we recommend submitting earlier. If we're writing the article for you, please allow an extra week for drafting and review.
